Singapore International Water Week 2026

On 16 and 17 June, Tilly Stroo attended Singapore International Water Week 2026, where two days of sessions, workshops and conversations highlighted one clear message: water resilience is built by people.

She joined the official opening of the Netherlands Pavilion, surrounded by the global water community and the kind of cross‑sector energy that shows why this work matters. The day ended with WaterWorX’s workshop “Envisioning Your Water‑Resilient City,” where participants explored future scenarios for cities across Asia, Oceania and beyond. The idea was clear: technical innovation can take us far without social innovation, inclusion, community trust and shared ownership.

We give our sincere thanks to all the participants: long‑time advocates standing alongside first‑time attendees; students from the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD); engineers from Witteveen+Bos; and many others.

Water resilience lives in the people behind it.
