The Indonesian Wave participates in the 10th World Water Forum

Last week, “Water Warriors Assemble: Indonesian Wave” was held after the 10th World Water Forum, with support from the Ministry of Public Works and Housing (Kementerian Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat (PUPR)). The water community for youth, ‘IndonesiaWarriors’, was established, highlighting the Indonesian Wave’s significance in the educational context.

Key highlights of the event:
โ€ข Pak Bob, the Director of Water Resources, opened the event, mentioning a Letter of Intent between the Water Resource Department and Wavemakers United Foundation.
โ€ข Ivo van der Linden, representing the Government of the Netherlands, emphasized the importance of youth engagement in water issues.
โ€ข Pak Menteri Basuki committed to allocating a budget for youth activities, including river care communities across Indonesia.
โ€ข Neil Andika and Sabrina Farah Salsabilla presented the Indonesian Wave and Indonesia Water Warriors.
โ€ข Sahabat Air performed a captivating piece highlighting the importance of river conservation.
โ€ข A talk show featured representatives from governments, academia, and communities discussing best practices for youth water movements.
