On February 24th, The Coordinating Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development of the Republic of Indonesia hosted a national Water Townhall Meeting to present the country’s renewed focus on water security as a foundation for sustainable development.
The event brought together key stakeholders from government institutions, academia, and youth organizations active in the water sector.
Our Wave Indonesia participated as one of the youth representatives, sharing the perspective of young water leaders committed to innovation and community engagement. Our Project Manager in Indonesia, Sabrina Farah Salsabilla, reinforced the message that young professionals and students are key partners in shaping Indonesia’s water‑secure future.
Townhall Meeting included several renowned speakers and guests, among them:
– M. Rachmat Kaimuddin, Deputy for Basic Infrastructure Coordination
– Retno Marsudi, UN Special Envoy on Water
– Arief Satria, Head of the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN)
– Bob Arthur Lombogia, Head of the Regional Infrastructure Development Agency
