We officially launched the new wave of Japan at the World Expo!
A historic moment today where the Wave of Indonesia symbolically passed on the baton of knowledge to Wave Japan.
This new local chapter of Wavemakers United is part of the Japan National Young Water Professionals (Japan YWP), a sub-organization of the International Water Association (IWA) Japan National Committee.
Wave Japan seeks to strengthen collaboration among Japanese knowledge institutes, primary schools, the private sector in water, food and energy, as well as youth organizations. By connecting these stakeholders, we aim to empower the next generation of water leaders.
In partnership with universities such as Kyoto University and Nagaoka University of Technology with more expected to join, we encourage students to innovate and actively engage in solving the world’s most pressing water challenges.
