1 Million Postcard Initiative
The 1 MAP Initiative aims to collect 1 million postcards from local communities, youth and minorities who share their ideas about water. The 1MAP-initiative will receive support through the Wavemakers United Academy, the guest-lecture toolkit, and through the network of the Foundation.
All the postcards will be collected to become the biggest postcard in the world and will be exposed during the World Expo in Osaka Japan!
Countdown to World Expo
The 1 MAP (1 Million Postcard) initiative is one of the outcomes of the UN2023 Gamechanger Challenge by students of the Balamand University in Lebanon.
More than 200 student teams from over 60 nationalities have joined the UN2023 Gamechanger Challenge in 2022- 2023. Teams offered guest-lectures about water and sustainability to local communities and used their input to create ideas that take on global water challenges.
The 1 MAP initiative made it to the top 5 finalists and during the UN Water Conference in March 2023 we officially adopted this idea!
