ANBI STATUS

In August 2023 the Wavemakers United Foundation was granted with an ANBI status by the Dutch authorities.

With our ANBI status, Wavemakers United is exempt from paying corporate income tax, allowing us to allocate more resources towards our core initiatives and charitable activities!  💧

ACTIVITIES

  • Education and training: Developing programs that educate and train students on water-related topics.
  • Community building: Creating networks where young people can develop their talents and make an impact in their communities.
  • Integration of sports: Utilizing sports to enhance local engagement and raise awareness about water-related issues.

The foundation generates income from multi-year and short-term subsidies and assignments through collaborations with various partners, including government programs from the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS), and programs under the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), such as Partners for Water, as well as private organizations. These collaborations may include financial support, resources, or expertise that contribute to the implementation of their projects.

Allocation of funds:

  • Development and implementation of educational and training programs.
  • Organization of events and workshops aimed at raising awareness and involvement in water-related issues.
  • Support for local ‘Waves’ or branches dedicated to water innovation and sustainability in various regions
