From April 24 till April 26 Wavemakers United and Tim Rotteveel proudly participate in the ChangeNOW 2025, as a part of the The Hague’s ImpactCity ecosystem delegation.
For a few days Grand Palais in Paris became a meeting place for changemakers, leaders, and innovators. Marking the 10th anniversary of the Paris Agreement, this ChangeNOW 2025 serves as a vital platform for dialogue and action on ecological and social challenges. Together, participants aim to accelerate sustainable solutions for the plane.
Day one kicked off with inspiring sessions led by visionary speakers: Laurent Fabius, Paul Watson and Rachel Kolbe Semhoun. Their covered variety of topics:
- Protecting marine ecosystems
- Bringing together key stakeholders for the COP Belem
- Turning ecosystems into measurable assets for biodiversity funding
- Land restoration
Key takeaway of the day: while long-term thinking is important, starting NOW is crucial. Accountability for pollution and structural financing are two pillars for driving impactful change toward a sustainable future.
