World Wetlands Day Celebrated at the Princess Vlei Wetland South Africa

World Wetlands Day is celebrated every year on 2 February to raise global awareness about the value of wetlands for humanity and the planet. Wetlands are important because they provide a wide range of vital ecosystem services, including water purification, flood control, carbon sequestration, biodiversity support, and serve as critical habitats for numerous plant and animal species.

Our partner Vision of change South africa took students to the Princesvlei Wetland to educate them about the importance of wetlands and allow them to interact through some fun activities and support this years theme ” protecting our wetlands for our common future”

Wavemakers United provided the water lab and was a great hit as learners truly enjoyed the concept of making science fun though understanding  water 💧

Thanks to our incredible partners who continues to support our goal.
