'The Future is Now!'

‘The Future Is Now’ is a returning concept of bringing youth and professionals from the water sector together for an interactive intergenerational dialogue. The event aims to strengthen collaboration between Local and Dutch (water and youth) organizations, increase awareness about water quality, follow up on the Water Action Agenda, and actively involve youth in global water issues by launching a local ‘Wave in all the member state countries of the UN.

Making impact through big (sport) events

By linking the ‘Future is Now’ event’ to global (sports) events, we create a unique opportunity to draw attention to water issues through sports and promote the sustainability of sport events. This provides a broader reach and allows us to have a more significant impact on local communities, inspiring youth to actively contribute to achieving the SDG goals.

This initiative builds on the success of the previous Future Is Now event in March 2023 in New York and in Bali 2024 and Olympic Games Paris 2024.
