Local impact, global stages
Wavemakers United offers a variety of solutions to accelerate water actions. Besides our global event, the UN2023 Gamechanger Challenge, we develop education programs, organize events and create awareness about water challenges. Furthermore, our community offers a variety of innovative ideas for partners to adopt in the marketplace of ideas.
UN2023 Gamechanger Challenge
Launched at the Stockholm World Water Week 2022, Wavemakers United organized a global student Challenge to accelerate water actions. Together with IHE Delft Institute for Water Education and the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management a thousand students from across 62 countries joined the Challenge. Multiple youth organizations joined the organization of the Challenge, resulting in many innovative, locally sourced ideas that are able to become the next Gamechanger in for water.
