We had the honor, together with IHE Delft Institute for Water Education, to meet and engage with a group of school students from India. The children (all age between 12-15) competed in the flagship project of the Rotary Club of Madras – the so called ‘Wings to Fly 23-24 – Chennaiyin Climate Change Champions’.
The project imparts curriculum in the topic of sustainability and conducts tests based on the curriculum for 10,000+ government school children in Tamil Nadu and chooses 8 final winners after multiple rounds of competitions.
We also shared our approach of water education and the children got to try some of our experiments.
It was also very fun to talk and learn about their dreams concerning water and how they intend to care for water at home and in their future professions They also joined our 1MAP‘ program, in collaboration with the University of Balamand, that gathers dreams from children worldwide to create the largest artwork in the world!
Thanks to everyone who made this possible!
