Team Allianz Kitefoiling
The Watersportverbond started the kitefoil program in 2019 and has made a lot of progress over the past year, partly thanks to the support of the TEAM KPN sports fund. The team has been able to train a lot and is happy that major international competitions are finally being sailed again.
For the women, Team Allianz is represented by Annelous Lammerts (27 years – The Hague) and for the men by: Jis van Hees (18 years – Oisterwijk), Sam Aben (18 years – The Hague), Sven van de Kamp (22 years – Castricum) and Joris Herrewijnen (18 years – Oostvoorne).
In addition to the five Team Allianz kiters, two other Dutchmen will appear at the start: Roderick Pijls (30 years) and Kimberley Rijsbergen (26 years). Pijls is the most famous of these and, in addition to being an athlete, is also known as an influencer and promoter of kite sports in the discipline of freestyle and wave. Kimberley Rijsbergen focuses entirely on the kitefoil racing discipline.
