In our road to the Olympic Games Tim Rotteveel and Mathurin Mahé represented Wavemakers United in Paris at the seminar on the urban impact of the (para) Olympic Games , organized by Arcadis France and the Dutch Embassy in France.
During the event Deputy Ambassador Sara Offermans addressed the innovative approach of Paris by reducing the ecological footprint of the Games. Her introduction was followed by valuable presentations about decarbonization and regeneration after the Games, the construction of the Aquatics Centre and the impact on mobility and transport during and after the Games.
The seminar has been a great lead up for our 3rd #FutureisNow event on the 4th op September during the Paralympic Games. We will dive deeper in above topics together with students and professionals in the water, sport and food sector.
