The 7th Cairo Water Week focused on the Youth and Gender Social Inclusion strategy suggested by the South African Department of Water and Sanitation. It is aimed to alleviate inequalities through an action oriented and youth and women-led approach, and to ensure efficiency, transparency, inclusivity and sustainability. The goal of the strategy is to improve opportunity and dignity of the disadvantaged people.
During the session, Moustafa Abdalla and Odwa Mtembu together with other speakers shared experiences, lessons and discussed next steps. All participants are committed to strengthening public-private partnerships, and youth leadership and governance.
