Meet our new youth board!

On October 9th, during the Future Is Now event, we officially made the transition to a fully youth-led organisation!

It was a special moment where both the outgoing and incoming board joined us online, as we presented live from the World Expo in Osaka.

Marc Kuipers, Consul General of the Netherlands in Osaka, witnessed this exciting milestone with us and called it “a bold, unique — and above all, incredibly exciting move!”

This new chapter is driven by passionate and motivated young leaders from around the world, ready to make real impact. We received over 100 applications, and were truly inspired not only by the impressive CVs, but even more by the powerful motivations of so many young changemakers.

Our new youth board members know what’s happening on the ground — they come from backgrounds in climate and water management, and they face the consequences of too much, too little, or too polluted water every day. If we truly want to tackle climate challenges, there’s no better group to lead the way.

And for those who weren’t selected this time: we’re committed to keeping them closely involved. Because we need everyone to join the wave and help tackle the growing water challenges we face together.

A heartfelt thank you to our former board members: , Harry Van Dorenmalen, Nick Meurs, Frans van Drimmelen, Ruben Dubelaar, Famke de Kroon and Tilly Stroo.

Your dedication and leadership over the past years have been invaluable! We are grateful to continue having you close as mentors on this journey.

And a warm welcome to the new board: Sofia Kabibi Tumaini , Emma Flores Herrera, Srishti Goyal, Steven Tomi Panglamba , Emily Lorra Hines , Fidan Guliyeva and Abed El Rahman El Khatib!

Let’s go ! 🌊
