Wave of Egypt Summer Students Camp 2024

Over the past weeks, we had the privilege of hosting an exceptional group of students at the 2024 Wavemakers Summer Students Camp, where learning, leadership, and environmental stewardship took centre stage. Our camp was designed to equip the next generation with the skills and knowledge they need to drive sustainable change, both locally and globally.

Before the main event, we kicked off with a 3-day virtual boot camp that introduced students to key topics like climate change, water sustainability, agrifood, renewable energy, and leadership development. This virtual platform allowed for dynamic discussions and interactive sessions, ensuring all participants had the foundation needed to fully engage in the offline camp. We provided a unique space for students from all backgrounds to connect, exchange ideas, and prepare for deeper exploration into pressing environmental issues.

Following our successful Virtual Wavemakers Summer Students Camp (V-WSSC), a 7-day intensive training camp was launched, from 14-Aug to 20-Aug. The on-site training camp offered an immersive experience that focused heavily on water sustainability, water and energy, and the global water crisis. Students had hands-on learning opportunities that underscored the critical role of water in our world and its intersections with other global challenges.
