The Youth for Water and Climate Programme has successfully concluded in Budapest, bringing together 40 young water professionals and emerging leaders from more than 10 European countries. The week marked an important step in strengthening youth capacity and leadership. Â
Â
Willian Weits represented Wavemakers from the Netherlands and organized and hosted multiple workshops enhancing their understanding of key water sector stakeholders, governance dynamics, and the water–climate nexus.
Â
The programme further supported the development of concrete skills in analysis, and solution-oriented thinking.Â
Â
Beyond technical capacity-building, the mobility fostered meaningful peer exchange and reinforced a growing European network of committed young leaders working at the intersection of water, environment and climate.Â
Â
As the current phase concludes, participants return to their respective countries equipped with strengthened expertise, expanded professional networks, and a reinforced commitment to water issues!Â
